Certified Flight Instructor
Flight instructors are contractors hired for seasonal work from mid-May-late September. Flight instructors provide the best and most professional flying services to our wide-range of clientele. Flight instructors fly float planes, and may also be required to do some private instruction, bush flying, and mountain flying. There is an orientation course and high quality training is provided. Flight instructors must have hours conducting dual instruction, have obtained their ASES float rating, and have exceptional recommendations.

Aircraft Mechanic
This position is seasonal: April-October. The aircraft mechanic (A&P and/or IA) is an integral part of the team servicing the fleet of 6 Piper Pacers, 5 of which are on floats. Your primary responsibilities include maintaining and repairing system components: this includes oil changes, 100 hour inspections, annual inspections, major repairs, ski/float transitions, aircraft improvements, etc.. You’ll detect malfunctions and fix them using power and hand tools with safety as the top priority.

Office Staff
Office staff help to maintain smooth seaplane base operations. They are in the office answering phones, helping schedule, running errands, and mostly being friendly and helpful to our other staff and clients. While in the office they are flight supervisors tracking the aircrafts location and being on-call at all times while they are working for any assistance needed by flight instructors. They are also required to help with housekeeping, laundry, and other random errands.

Dockhand
This position requires great attention to detail and self-initiative. The dockhand is the first one to the planes and the last one to leave. They preflight the fleet of seaplanes, launch and catch planes, fuel airplanes, check oil, help in the hangar, keep the resort in order and do many miscellaneous tasks (trash removal, landscaping, errands, etc).
